God, Or Someone Trying To Be God, Selling Furniture

Here’s another bad commercial from the Norton Furniture people. Last month I posted this “Quite Possibly The Worst Commercial Ever Made” starring the same guy (Marc) who portrays himself as God in this awful commercial. This time Marc has some company, Adam & Eve.

I found the one you posted last month a bit intriguing, so I went and found a crap load more of them on YouTube. My take on it is that the first one (same one you posted before) was unintentionally creepy and terrible. His weirdness didn’t seem to be as forced in that one and he came off as being genuinely terrible at doing commercials.

The other ones I found, the one you just posted included, all seemed forced. It seemed as if they were trying to repeat the WTF factor from the first one, but it just comes off as intentional.

Not sure what my point of that was.

Hey Dalton! I think you point is, first time out he was genuinely trying to make a good commercial, but since it had an unintentional creepiness about it that people seemed to be attracted to, he’s now trying to be intentionally creepy to keep people interested which makes it seemed forced …. or something like that. I think that makes sense. Although that sentence seems really long and most likely incorrectly formatted. Luckily though this site is about humour and not correct sentence writing.

Thanks, Steven. That’s exactly what I was trying to say … I think.

Hey Dalton! Ah, hell, I think the main thing is that we know what each other means. LOL

I guess the point in making everything else in the same tone or manner would help him keep the readers. Since he became known for making it creepy and terrible, albeit unintentionally, he’s riding on the same page, doing it on the other stuff as well. Publicity is still exposure, however good or bad it may be. :)
