I wouldn’t know if this exactly relates, but Minnesota now has a law which mandates that any and all specimens of Old Glory sold in The Gopher State must be of American manufacture exclusively.

You know what? It's better quality and price than what Americans put out. Why? We don't care anymore. We think we have the best of everything we make and don't take a close enough look at the competition. That's why the Japanese car companies took over America, better quality, more options and a better price. Look at Hybrid cars from Japan, who incidentally we owe our largest debt to with China #2, and what we make. Look at the new fuel efficient cars from Detroit, the Dodge Challenger and Charger, Chevy Camaro and Ford Cobra, all with beefy V8 engines. We deserve what we get!
