Here’s a guy who feels that honesty is the best policy in regards to panhandling for money on the street. I couldn’t agree more. I’d give this guy money so he could get drunk in a gutter somewhere. I’m all about helping people out in a time of need. In a related story, I gave 75 cents to a street musician once and he played me a song.

Yeah, I’m with you on this one, dude. I respect the honesty. I’ve had the mealy-mouthed approach “Can you spare some change for a little food?” Then an hour later I’ve seen the guy striding out with a can of lager in his hand. I suppose at the end of the day it’s a difficult call.
It reminds me of a neighbour who won the lottery. I said “What are you going to do about the begging letters?”
He said “Oh, I’ll carry on sending them out.”

I’m with you on this. I know alot of people don’t agree but I always give money to people on the street. I figure if they are out there begging then they deserve something and they can do what they want with it. I like the honesty factor. Love your blog.

That is so funny. I’m glad he is telling the truth instead of fibbing saying he will work for food.
I hate those signs. One day I plan on approaching someone with one of those signs and tell him if he does my yard work I’ll make them a steak.
This is so crazy of me but, I am scared of heights and if for some crazy reason I have to walk across a bridge. . .if I “survive” I give a dollar to the first homeless person I see. It’s my way of sayng Thank you God.
