My opinion is if you are going to perform live, perform live; sing your vocals and play your instruments. And if you have no intention of doing that, then at least don’t screw up royally and let everyone in the building know you’re lip syncing and strumming a guitar that’s not plugged in. They may feel mislead; as this audience must have felt when the lead singer did what he did really bad. At least it was funny.
